Is t Feb 25, 2023 · OLED displays are extremely short-lived I bought the LG C9 in August of 2020, not even 3 years, and today I noticed so many dead pixels on the top right corner I only use this as TV purpose mainly for Netflix, Apple TV+ and Disney+, never use for monitor purpose. I'm not checking now though. Next TV is either G series or Mini LED. It's been used pretty much on a daily basis for TV shows and movies, with occasional gaming; no news or sports channels. I saw that several others have had the same issue with OLED in general. LG even replaced my c9's panel, it was perfect at the beginning, but a few months later, I see dead pixels again. I don't see a lot of talk about this, but why do LG OLED panels tend to develop dead pixels around the edges of the screen? all the panels I ever owned (lg C9, C1 and gigabyte aorus fo48u) had this problem, they tend to develop dead pixels right around the top corners. Is t Issue is the labor to get the entire screen replaced. I swapped it for an LG C1, though am still waiting on a refund for the dead one (avoid appliance central if you're an Aussie).
